this mission's not too bad if you know what to do. the hardest part is closing those 5 portals. for most of the portals, it's possible to lure the wraiths away from the portal without aggroing the patrols. a lot of people have problems with shiro too. he's also pretty easy. all you really need is one warrior to tank his attacks (koss, jora, etc). blocking stances really help, such as bonetti's defense or gladiator's defense. lure shiro out, then place the tank at the entrance to occupy shiro. everyone else should stand back. the casters do all the damage. ss/sv/empathy/enfeeble are extremely helpful and will make short work of shiro. once that's done, if you want the bonus walk your group to each corner of the shrine room. amazingly this will actually break the lich's aggro. kill the margonites, to get your bonus. then kill the lich and you're done!

Euh Jhu, i guess you are talking about "gate of madness"...
To beat abaddon there is an easy way, but the whole team need to do the same: Make sure everyone is monk 1st or 2nd profession, make sure smiting prayers is at least level 12 and bring [skill]reversal of damage[/skill]. Kill all Monoliths, and then go back to the top of the mountain (Abaddon should attack). Everyone casts "reversal of damage" on him/herself (u need to do this a few times) and Abaddon should be down in no time... If you are playing with heroes, then you need to activate this skill for them but make sure that you havent selected anyone (not even yourself) because your heroes will try to use "reversal of damage" of that selected person (which is useless). Well, for nec, try taking Spinal Shivers and make sure a couple of people have cold damage weapons - that's how I H&H'd him on mine.

Its easy with hero/henchies
Bring Martyr on a monk, maybe 2 monks and Purge Conditions which they will be using on themselves, to cope with constant dazing, an ele with Ward of Stability, and some interupts to prevent torment claws from dealing huge amounts of damage... If youre not concerned about time, the rest doesnt matter that much. |

I just did this today on my ranger. I was using burning arrows build, I just brought a paragon hero with cautery signet, and dunkoro was light of deliverance with heaven's delight and it's copy.
It's easy, just make sure as soon as abbadon goes invulnerable after you've been attacking him, to flag to the left or right monoliths and kill them right away. rinse and repeat. |
